Yesterday I did something I said I'd never do..I got another restaurant job.
There's a new "upscale bistro" opening down the street from where I work now, and the training starts March 6th...Which gives me the perfect time frame to give my current job plenty of notice that I am fucking OUT OF THERE!!!
For the first time in a long time, I actually have a little hope that I won't wake up in the morning and dread getting up because I know I have to deal with the same shit that I've been dealing with for 8 years. I've come to the conclusion that this other serving job has to be better..I mean it can't be worse, right? I'm not making any money now, and the place brings out the worst in me, which I hate the most. It will be so much better in a brand new place (literally) and brand new people and clientele. It has to be better.
Even though I said I'd never get another restaurant job, I have to do what I can to save my sanity, and soon.

Congratulations! "Upscale" will definetly bring in people with class & manners, (some riff-raff might pop in once in a while). A whole new atmosphere(and with spring coming), a great way for a fresh start! I'm happy for you, I know the other place was really bringing you down. Peggy
