Today something very good happened...
On my way to work, I found a wallet laying on the ground by the World Trade building..A Coach wallet at that! No money in it, no driver's license, but plenty of credit cards, business cards, and also a State Farm insurance card. When I got to work I called the number on the card and asked them to contact her. Then I gave the wallet to the manager to put in the safe.
A couple of hours later, the wallet's owner shows up at the restaurant, a bouquet of flowers in her arm which she hands to me, thanking me profusely. I say I only did what I hope someone would do for me.
Turns out she had a job interview at the World Trade building and was getting out of a cab, which is when her wallet fell out of her Coach bag (which matched the wallet!) Her money and driver's license were in her bag though. So it worked out for her...And I got flowers, which was so sweet!

Doesn't something like that just make you feel wonderful? Makes you glad that you're a good, honest person and that there are people out there who still respond with kindness and grace. What a cool day!
