Grrrrrrrr....

So I'm still sick...Getting better, but still in the bathroom a lot! (TMI, right?)

We had a "mandatory" meeting at work yesterday morning...I was also scheduled to work after the meeting. Well, I barely made it to the stupid meeting, if you know what I mean. I was looking really bad...As soon as I got there I told the 3 managers that I was still sick and could NOT work the shift after the meeting..I mean how could I?? So after the meeting, which was torture by the way, I tell another manager again that I cannot work..Now it's 25 minutes before we open. I left...Bus came right away and I went home.

Well, now people from work (who also saw me looking like death) are leaving me messages: "What happened to you? I heard you bounced out on your shift..What's up?"

Great.

The managers obviously didn't hear me say that I WON'T be able to work...yet I said it! You could take one look at me and see that I couldn't even hardly stand up since I hadn't eaten in 2 days. Yet they expected me to wait around to see if I could leave...Yeah right! I would've been stuck there in misery..There was no way I was staying. Now they think I just said fuck it and left and now I'm going to have to explain all of this to the GM, who was one of the managers I told I couldn't work!

All this drama for a food-running shift that would've made me about $50 at best..

I'm not saving lives, it's just fucking food...Wouldn't you want your sick employee to stay home and get better??

Guess not.
