Shift meeting

At work before the shift the managers have a meeting with the servers, which is supposed to inform us of things like what the specials are, etc. It's also supposed to motivate the staff and energize everyone.

Today, the manager told us during our shift meeting that he's heard a lot of negativity from the servers, mostly about not having what we need during our shift (like silverware and glasses and sugar caddies.)

"If you don't like working here, just leave. If you don't want to help fix the problems then just leave."

Yeah, that's motivating.

What a jerk! Sounds like he's one of those "fix the blame, not the problem" managers. Peggy

Wow! He sounds like a real motivated individual himself.
I don't miss those shift meetings. Some of them were so uninformative. But, it was a good few min. to get a smoke in. lol
