To the "business women" that used a credit card to pay for their meal:
WHY DID YOU TAKE BOTH COPIES OF THE CREDIT CARD SLIP?? Especially when I write "STORE COPY" on the top of one??..and put YOUR copy on the other side along with your card and the allocated receipt?? Are you really that stupid? This can't be the first time you're using a credit card..You've got a laptop for god's sake. If anything, I have to turn a copy in for paperwork, you morons! Yeah, I'm sure you wrote a tip on it, and I appreciate that, really I do, but what does it matter? I'm not getting paid now!! Grrrr....

I've noticed in the last couple years that I am handed both copies, and more than once I almost took the one I signed without malice. I prefer it when I am handed a copy to sign, then when I return it and the pen, I am handed the second copy, my copy. It's just less confusing, especially if I'm with someone and yakking up a storm, not thinking. I'm curious . . . why did businesses change to this way?
Sorry you got stiffed, though. Whether accidently as when I've almost done it or on purpose, it sucks. My daughter waited tables for a while in college, and she finally quit because she couldn't deal with inconsiderate and/or dishonest people.
