Poor

I am not making any money now.

There isn't even any money to be made at the restaurant..No guests = not gettin' paid. This is by far the slowest year I've seen: It was financially the worst summer I've ever had there, and this was my 8th. Back then I feared that this time of year (when it's not tourist season) would be bad..maybe financially destructive. I was right.

During the weekdays, I get one round of tables and then it's dead. I'll have only one table at a time after the lunch rush, which is painful when you're only making $3 an hour. Even in the "good" sections I'm lucky if I walk out with more than $50. The only way servers are paying their bills are by working doubles, which I can only do so many of. And I shouldn't have to work 13 hours in order to make $100. It's just not worth it. It's not worth having to have a perfect pressed uniform, taking the bus, and putting up with crap for no money. Today I made $36..Pretty good for 2 hours of work, but I need more than that!

I'm really starting to worry a little.
